3. Injury as a Way to Understand Negative Emotions
Negative events occur to help you understand the unknown parts of yourself or to rediscover the parts you’ve lost. An injury, or the inability to heal from one, is caused by unacknowledged or unrecognized negative emotions. One reason for this is that the emotional fluctuations are subtle, making them hard to notice. Another reason is that you might be suppressing these emotions by tensing your body, which also makes them hard to recognize. Lastly, you may feel emotional fluctuations but fail to recognize them as negative emotions. Of course, injury prevention and healing require medical knowledge and design. Positive events happen when there are no negative emotions and when you are mentally relaxed. However, a good environment alone may not be beneficial depending on your mental state.
