4. People Only Show You Your Own Path
It’s natural to care about how others see you. There isn’t a single person who doesn’t care about how they’re perceived by others. This constant concern reflects the anxiety we all feel.
If we try to avoid or resist this anxiety, we end up experiencing even more unpleasant emotions. As soon as you feel even a little bit “uncomfortable,” it’s essential to look for what makes you happy. When your actions, intentions, or direction differ from your true self, you experience feelings of discomfort. By adjusting your path to align with your true happiness, those uncomfortable experiences will disappear.
Your surroundings―people and things―show you when you’re not being true to yourself. They close off paths you don’t really want to walk. Trust yourself and follow your heart. If you don’t want to experience unpleasant events, you need to constantly stay aware of your true self.
Doesn’t the idea of living a life filled with gratitude and joy sound appealing?
