1. Peace of Mind

Some people say, “God created everything because He was bored,” or “He stirs events because monotony makes Him restless.” Whether this is true or not cannot be proven, and so we cannot say for sure if it’s real or a lie. The important question isn’t whether we should pursue the truth or facts, but rather if the person in question can accept, understand, or genuinely believe it. What matters is whether the belief or perspective gives that person peace of mind. Regardless of whether one chooses a path of disbelief or suspicion, they will ultimately follow a direction that brings them peace of mind.

This doesn’t mean that a lack of peace of mind is inherently bad or wrong. A state of unrest in the mind may simply be necessary for guiding a person on the path they wish to follow. Concepts of good and evil, right and wrong, are merely one way of viewing and understanding things. When humans, who cannot live alone, gather in groups, rules become necessary, and from the need to follow rules, the notions of right and wrong, good and evil arise.

Believing in something sincerely and achieving peace of mind comes down to following one’s true feelings and honest heart. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we are guided by the combination of our innate nature and past experiences.
