1. What is Fun?
Fun is not about being excited, joyful, thrilled, or exhilarated. It is about being able to act and speak with minimal emotional fluctuations or ups and downs while being absorbed and focused. It does not depend on whether you have friends or others around. Fun is about being able to act and speak with a peaceful heart anytime, anywhere, and with anyone.
2. How Can You Have Fun?
Acting and speaking with minimal emotional fluctuations is natural and easy because such actions are daily habits. In your daily life, when you intuitively feel like “I want to do this” or “Let’s try this,” acting on those impulses is what it means to have fun. The key is to continue this enjoyment.
3. Enjoying the Not-Fun
When unpleasant things happen or exist, you won’t feel fun or be able to enjoy yourself. Trying to forcefully change or suppress naturally changed emotions can lead to escalation or sudden actions. Simply observing naturally changed emotions allows them to settle down to some extent. It is even possible to enjoy the emotions that come from unpleasant things.
