1. When Do You Get Injured?

You tend to get injured when what you’re currently doing or about to do is significantly out of alignment with your true feelings. This can happen whether you stub your toe on furniture or get into a physical fight with someone. The injury occurs because you’re ignoring the discomfort or resistance you feel towards what you’re doing or planning to do. You’re aware that you don’t want to do it, but you’re forcing yourself to go through with it anyway.

2. What Happens When You Ignore Yourself?

When you disregard your own feelings, thoughts, and intentions and continue to act in ways that conflict with them, your entire being will try to steer you back to alignment. To reduce unpleasant experiences, it’s important to consistently face your true feelings and act accordingly. Act with confidence in what you genuinely want to do.

3. If Acting in Line with Your True Feelings Makes You Anxious, It’s Better Not to Act

Have you ever felt anxious about doing what you truly want to do or scared about following your genuine desires? When acting in line with your true feelings makes you anxious, it’s best to refrain from taking any action if possible. Wait until you encounter something you genuinely want to do, feel curious about, or are compelled to do. “Being true to your heart and body” means waiting until you can act authentically without fear or anxiety.
