Even if you don’t get the results or recognition you expected, by enjoying the actions themselves―doing what you love, what you enjoy, and what you want―you will be able to follow your emotions, thoughts, and will. By not forcing yourself, not pretending to be someone you’re not, and not losing yourself, you avoid disliking yourself and, in turn, avoid disliking others. When you can do what you want, you believe in yourself. Confidence makes you like yourself. When you like yourself, you don’t deliberately hurt others or things outside of yourself.
