1. What Does It Mean to Live in the Present Moment?

Living in the present moment means acting in ways that slightly improve your current emotions without thinking about the past or future. It involves responding to natural desires for food, sex, and sleep by doing what you want right now. It is not about preparing for something in the future or trying to increase money or assets.

2. Not Expecting or Worrying About Results or Evaluations

Choosing to spend the present moment in peace means not being conscious of the future. Living in the present is not about making choices based on past experiences but enjoying the present moment for what it is.

3. Choosing What Brings Ease to Mind and Body, and Sustains Inner Peace

Having ease in mind and body does not mean idly wasting time. What you like, enjoy, and want to do should not burden your mind and body. Even if others see it as suffering or effort, it brings you inner peace.

4. Believing in Yourself

Those who believe in themselves do not get angry at others because they are okay in any situation. Believing in yourself means you do not worry about any circumstances because you trust that you are okay. Believing in yourself also means trusting the part of you that knows you cannot always believe in yourself.
