3. How to turn unpleasant things into enjoyable ones?
The only way to turn unpleasant things into enjoyable ones is to know yourself. When you know yourself, your mind and body will naturally move in the direction of what you enjoy, what you like, and what you want to do. Even if you think and act positively, if you don’t get good results, you tend to give up on knowing yourself or changing your mindset. The way to improve this is simply that you haven’t noticed your true feelings or desires, or you haven’t been acting or speaking in accordance with them. Things aren’t going as planned simply because you’re not acting according to your true feelings.
I’m not saying that not knowing yourself will lead to bad things happening or unhappiness. Like a toddler, you might be crying, but then quickly become engrossed in something fun when you find it; or, after fully experiencing your emotions, you forget about it the next moment and do something you enjoy; or, even when something unpleasant happens, you can quickly find something fun; or, if you can do what you love instead of dealing with the unpleasant, you’ll be happy. We don’t live to know ourselves; rather, if unpleasant feelings, moods, or displeasure persist, instead of continuing to confront or deal with the unpleasant events, we should keep searching for something fun.
When searching for something fun, the most important thing is to simply enjoy it. Don’t worry about other people’s evaluations or approvals of the results of your thoughts, ideas, and actions. Just do what you enjoy, and be happy that you were able to do something you enjoyed, liked, and wanted to do.
